Neither the duration of the trip nor the low season are the only factors determining the budget; it's an oversimplification. The choice of two weeks does not come only from financial constraints but from a balance between price, availability, and especially personal expectations. In Japan, periods like Golden Week or Obon show that crowds and prices soar, regardless of the "low season" or the length of your stay. Sometimes, a longer trip even allows to reduce the daily cost thanks to tiered accommodation rates or more affordable flights during the week, which is an interesting workaround to consider.
