Bringing together both views means understanding that calendar flexibility is built on budget constraints, not the other way around.
We don't choose the length of a low-season stay solely based on financial optimization; school holidays often impose a window.
Taking two weeks of vacation for a low-season trip is an intention, but reality catches up with us through imposed dates.
For example, even with the best budget, a trip during All Saints' Day holidays can't exceed a week because school resumes.
The hybrid model is a careful balance between what we can afford and when we have the real possibility to leave.
