To summarize your idea, the duration of the trip is mainly defined by budget constraints that push towards the low season, despite weather inconveniences or closure of attractions, right? I just want to refine this by saying that the experience sought can often override the budget and seasonality, especially when it comes to unique events. For example, if you absolutely want to attend the Saint-Louis International Jazz Festival in Senegal, it only takes place at a specific time, regardless of whether it's high season or if my student budget is tight.
