Who actually benefits from the book claiming that tracking model growth causes the expansion of OpenRouter's models?
It's a classic case of confusing correlation with causation; the motive behind such a claim often serves the tracker, not the actual builders.
In my experience, whether it's models or plumbing parts, something only becomes truly available because someone developed it, someone supplied it, and there was a demand for it, like needing a specific fitting for a tricky pipe repair.
The tracking itself is just a measurement, not the engine that creates anything new.
