That 3 billion euro funding for Mistral AI really isn't a universal signal for the AI Act's viability across the entire market, especially not here in the UK.
We're quite pragmatic about putting all our weight on one financial event; a company's big win often reflects its unique market position or investor confidence in their specific model.
For example, a niche fintech startup might secure huge funding for a payment solution, but that doesn't mean the entire financial regulatory landscape is suddenly viable for every other business locally.
There are always specific carve-outs and local compliance hurdles that a single large investment doesn't just magically make disappear for everyone else in this jurisdiction.
It’s not so much about the overall act but how it plays out for individual companies.
