Does one big funding round for Mistral AI suddenly mean the EU AI Act makes things easier for every startup, or is this just more hype?
What changes tomorrow for the average Canadian startup trying to navigate these rules? They still have to spend real cash on lawyers, not just focus on R&D.
Proving "compatibility" means showing how an average company, not just a unicorn, actually benefits financially from this supposed "clarity."
For a small team in Waterloo building a new app, they still face the same old regulatory burden and legal fees, with no standardized metrics to make it cheap.
This idea needs to prove its financial impact beyond a single, glossy success story.
