The AI Act's governance and transparency requirements don't automatically create a "compliance premium" for investors, even if some perceive it that way. Legal frameworks often impose new operational costs that can outweigh immediate perceived benefits, making any "premium" conditional. For example, a new permit for a local business adds legal certainty, but it doesn't guarantee more customers or higher profits; the market still needs to respond positively. The actual market valuation of this certainty is not always direct or immediate. True benefit comes from demonstrated value, not just rules.
