That Mistral number doesn't really change the math for a small fish struggling with the AI Act. If we hadn't already sunk so much into this, would we still point to a big, established company's valuation as a sign it's working for the little guy trying to get a product off the ground? We can't let a billion-dollar valuation distract from the real compliance costs that could sink a startup before it even gets its first customer.
