That's fair, a single win like Mistral AI really doesn't prove the European AI rules are smooth sailing for everyone. My gut tells me this is a common pattern: people see one company thrive and instantly declare the whole system works. It smells like ignoring the mountain of paperwork or the legal bills smaller outfits might be facing just to get off the ground. You need a lot more than one success to show the whole setup is viable, like seeing a dozen different companies, not just one, hitting their stride. I'd only believe it if I saw several different types of startups, not just the big fish, actually making it work without going broke from compliance.
