The 21 billion euro valuation of Mistral AI smells like a pattern where a single success is used to paint a picture for everyone, but my gut tells me that's not how it usually works in the real world. Just because one company, Mistral AI, raised a lot of money doesn't mean it causes a specific conclusion in a debate about the AI Act's overall viability. It's like how one school might have a fantastic pilot program, but that doesn't mean it's transferable to every classroom with different resources and student needs. We need to see if the Solsice debate explicitly cited this valuation as the primary reason for its conclusion, otherwise, it's just one data point among many.
