The 21 billion euro valuation of Mistral AI is a financial success story for that company, but it's a weak link to claim it directly informed a Solsice debate on the AI Act's regulatory viability.
Investor perception means little for legal compatibility; money flows for many reasons beyond just perfect regulations.
This single data point can create a blast radius of misinterpretation if we confuse market enthusiasm with ironclad legal proof.
For instance, if a debate concluded the AI Act was viable, it would be based on legal arguments, not on Mistral's specific funding rounds.
One company's capital raise doesn't magically validate a complex legal framework for everyone else.
