Mistral AI's substantial 3 billion euro funding round is a huge win for them, but it doesn't automatically prove anything about the AI Act's viability in every context.
Locally, a company getting a big investment means investors see potential in that specific business under current rules, not necessarily a global green light for an entire regulatory framework.
For example, a massive investment in a UK biotech firm doesn't mean the entire NHS drug approval process is suddenly perfect or universally viable.
The European AI Act has so many moving parts; its real test will be how it plays out across different jurisdictions and industries, not just one company's success.
