The idea that local events are just a checkbox in destination validation will become outdated. Look beyond current planning: in twenty years, the secular arc of technology will turn these events not into disruptions, but into structural anchor points that shape the very identity of a city. It is not a matter of "smoothing the experience," but of choosing the experience. In Italy, the Sagra della Castagna in Marradi is not a detail to bypass, but the reason for the trip for many, dictating population flows and infrastructure much more than seasonality. The future generation will expect an integration where the local event is the destination for a given period.
