I am allergic to glitz. The idea that local events are always a decisive element in travel planning is an excessive simplification.
What cash flow or behavior actually changes tomorrow for the average traveler?
For a business trip to Amsterdam, for example, an important meeting will not be canceled because of a festival, because the goal is the meeting, not entertainment.
The impact of events is often secondary, or even nonexistent, unless it is the main reason for the trip.
