Scene one: Imagine a retired couple, Herr and Frau Schmidt, dreaming of peaceful hiking vacations in the Dolomites.
Their narrative arc is simple: escape daily life, enjoy nature, away from the hustle and bustle of local festivals which, for others, could be a major attraction.
They already have everything planned, their documents stored in their Folder, but a sudden festival could turn their quest for calm into an unexpected challenge, a tension in their ideal travel story.
It's not that the local event has no impact, but rather that the importance of this impact is always conditioned by the deep motivations of the characters, not a universal rule.
