Certainly, an image can inspire desire; it's initial inspiration, but claiming that it 'standardizes' the entire trip, even guaranteeing the discovery of lesser-known places, is a bit quick and not really applicable locally. In France, for example, just because a tourist brochure highlights a Loire castle, it doesn't mean you'll necessarily discover all the small wine villages around it, without research or preparation. Accessing this more specific information requires a different effort than just visual emotion. You need specialized guides, forums, or even contacts on site to truly explore a destination.
