Simply tracking model growth from 63 to 668 models on OpenRouter doesn't automatically mean that data informs anything in terms of regulatory compliance or operational approval.
This data merely observes a trend; it doesn't provide the necessary mandate or proof that these models meet Canadian privacy standards or security protocols.
For instance, if a new model appears, its mere existence doesn't mean it's permitted for use in handling sensitive data for a provincial service like RAMQ.
Without proper vetting, these numbers are just numbers, not a green light for safe deployment.
