Counting more models on a platform like OpenRouter doesn't inherently prove they're actually being used or making a difference.
It's a lot of hype to say growth in numbers automatically means growth in utility.
What really changes for developers? If these models don't solve a specific problem or offer clear cost benefits, they're just more options on a very long menu.
In reality, developers here in the Netherlands want stability and support for their projects, not just a longer list of choices that might not be maintained.
Show me the real cash saved or the actual projects built with these new models, not just a glossy count of what's available.
