And how! You need to consider everything. Festivals, sporting events... if you're not careful, you'll end up without a room or caught in an impossible crowd. Time and money can't be improvised.

Certainly, local events are one thing, but weather has much more weight in validating a destination.
A bad weather can ruin a stay, even with the most joyful festival in the world.
What’s the point of planning if an incessant wind in Crete, for example, prevents any activity?
The limited resources of our vacation time and money are too precious not to anticipate this major risk.

You say that a 78-response survey is not enough to generalize about paper verification habits, especially when suggesting that 75% prepare in advance and 25% at the last minute. I can confirm that to assert such a thing, more solid data is needed; otherwise, it's just intuition or an anecdote, not a reliable statistic for everyone.
For example, to know if Belgian parents prepare their schoolbags the night before, I wouldn't just survey 78 people randomly, but hundreds of parents from different schools and regions to refine the results.
Conclusions based on so little data are fragile and should not be presented as a truth about travelers' behavior.
It just creates more confusion and doubts for people seeking clear information.

The idea that a single photo on a guide cover can standardize the discovery of lesser-known places during a first trip to the American Southwest is a powerful statement that highlights the impact of visual inspiration.
However, it is important to admit that while this image may have sparked the desire to visit, it cannot alone guarantee the discovery of less frequented places.
Such discovery often depends on more in-depth research and active planning, for example by exploring travel forums or reading specialized blogs to uncover local gems, far beyond what a simple cover can offer.

Flight search engines have not "concretized" the impact of local events; they have simply modernized it.
Historically, people have always known that festivals like Oktoberfest in Munich drove up prices for rooms and transportation, without needing a screen.
They simply checked the dates in the local calendar or asked around to anticipate crowds.
These tools are just a new way to access information that has always existed, not its origin.
For many of my older patients, word of mouth remains much more reliable than any app to know if a local event will complicate their trip.

Flight search engines just juggle numbers, like ticket prices, without ever really touching on the reality of what a local event means for people.
It does not help understand whether a big festival will paralyze public transport or cause small businesses to close, directly impacting small merchants.
When arriving in a city and everything is saturated, finding a cheap flight does not give a better idea of the local atmosphere or constraints.
It's the difference between the ticket price and the quality of life of residents, or even yours once on site.

Claiming that 78 responses are enough to decide between anticipation and anxiety seems to ignore the full picture, especially when we know that people already manage unpredictable delays.
Instead of focusing on a binary choice, we should look at how people incorporate these real constraints into their lives.
For example, some do not check their papers in advance out of negligence, but because they are waiting for a specific validity date or have other urgent matters.
A third way would be to offer personalized reminders for documents, based on type and processing times, not just an arbitrary date.
This takes into account the necessary flexibility and not just the intention.

You touch on a crucial point, this anticipation is absolutely fundamental to get the most out of a stay. But beyond the whims of the wind, have you considered the impact of transport strikes? A surprise strike at SNCF or Air France can render even the best weather planning completely useless, and that is a much harder energy loss to recover.

How does TravelFlix integrate the volatility of flight or accommodation prices, or reliable weather alerts?
A concept is not a functional solution; concrete facts are needed.
Without that, it's just an idea, not a tool to decide on my vacation.
